OVERVIEW

After an astonishing seven decade run, the Porsche 911 still prevails as one of the most iconic sports cars ever produced. Offered in a wide range of configurations to suit varied driving preferences, the superlative engineering, uncompromising performance, and comfort features continue to attract new generations of enthusiasts to the Porsche brand. With decades of racing expertise and motorsports participation, Porsche performance and durability continue to impress legions of dedicated drivers seeking the very best in sports car design and engineering.

In 2004, production began on the Carrera and Carrera S models which evolved over the model run into the final iteration concluding in 2013. Having been derived from the earlier 996 with significant exterior and interior changes, by 2009 the evolution of features and enhancements included a revised engine with direct injection and the introduction of the PDK transmission. The result was a lighter, faster, and more fuel-efficient sports car offering some of the most impressive performance numbers ever seen in a production car, including 0-60 times in supercar territory with micro-second shifting and exceptional road manners.

Contemporary motor press, initially hesitant about the PDK transmission, became immediate fans once at the wheel. The jaw-dropping performance was nothing short of legendary, and yet the Carrera S was also a comfortable road car even under daily driving conditions. Competitively priced when new, highly optioned pre-owned examples with known histories have become increasingly sought after by enthusiasts who seek well-maintained cars that can be immediately enjoyed without the wait times and additional expense of a brand-new example.

This Carrera S was ordered new with both performance and comfort in mind, outfitted with over $13,000.00 worth of desirable options and features. According to a copy of the factory Porsche Build Card, this Carrera S was ordered with the following options:

Originally delivered to the first owner in California, the car was acquired by Porsche Bellevue and sold to the second owner, a resident of western Washington. According to the Carfax, miles accrued on the car as ownership changed and regular services were performed at appropriate intervals including oil and filter changes at Porsche Bellevue, brake fluid flush, and other general services as needed. In June 2021with 50,156 miles, a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tires were purchased and mounted at Kirkland Tire Pros., Kirkland, WA.

In addition to the factory options, the car has been sensitively upgraded with red seatbelts (original black ones are retained and sold with the car), a Sport steering wheel with paddle shifters (original wheel included), a 991 front lip spoiler, a black Carrera S engine deck lid emblem, Fister Sport Exhaust, and newly applied XPEL protective clear film, installed on the car in 2021.

Today this Carrera S presents beautifully with stunning Carrara white paint in excellent condition throughout. The exterior finish has not only been very well preserved, the clear protective film, applied this year, will offer additional finish protection as miles accrue. The front and rear bumper caps are also very nicely finished with no notable paint flaws or significant scuff marks as often seen in cars of this age. The glass is in near perfect condition including a clear windshield, tight sealing side glass, and crystal-clear rear glass. The lighting and glossy finished lenses are all in excellent condition throughout including the accenting black Carrera S script lettering. The satin alloy wheels exceptionally nice, conveying the pure Porsche design perfectly balanced against the white paint finish, accented by red brake calipers perched on all four discs.

The interior has been very well-maintained with supple leather and host of comfort and convenience options seldom found in a single car. The seating surfaces show no significant marks or prominent wear to the premium materials, while the steering wheel upgrade is a handsome addition to the cockpit. Everything about the dashboard and center console speaks to the precision nature of the engineering and race-inspired heritage, all of which offer easy access and ergonomically natural features. The dashboard and assorted instrumentation properly illuminate, displaying key operational features and systems status including premium Bose sound, XM satellite radio (subscription required), and 12 way power adjustable heated seats with contrasting red seatbelts. The carpet, door panels, and other interior surfaces continue to impress with superlative condition. Even without the premium Bose sound system engaged, the legendary sound from the 3.8 Liter engine, exceptional performance shifting via PDK transmission, and Sport Chrono package offer plenty of aural entertainment to engage a wide range or driving enthusiasts.

The engine compartment has been thoughtfully maintained and properly serviced per recommendations. Porsche factory components are present and, much like the rest of the car, are in excellent cosmetic condition. Inside the front storage area, ample room is available for cargo or small travel bags. The underside of the car, suspension and driveline casings are nicely maintained, clean, and free from any significant marks or notable damage. A complete set of owner’s manuals accompany the car along with two sets of keys, the original black seat belts and original factory steering wheel.

Offering world-class engineering, iconic design, and the premier heritage of Porsche’s legendary 911, this beautiful Carrera S offers both classic elegance and race-derived performance suitable for a wide range of driving conditions. With its undisputed performance and uncompromising quality, low miles, and consummate care, this Porsche Carrera S is ready for weekend getaways, leisurely cruises, or bursts of performance excitement, all at your fingertips.
