OVERVIEW

The iconic Porsche 911 reigns today among the most enduring and capable sports cars ever built. Available in several configurations over six decades of development, Porsche has improved on these exceptional performance cars with each consecutive model, incorporating lessons from decades of racing into the many variants of the 911 – each one uniquely suited to a range of owner preferences and driving styles. 

In 2012, the seventh generation 911 became the newest offering. Designated the 991, the most daring and elegantly composed variant was the Targa. Released in 2014 in both Targa 4 and 4S featuring a retractable Targa roof, the seamlessly engineered ballet of roof, rear glass, and Targa bar, enveloped passengers in the solid construction of a coupe within 13 seconds, or revealed an open cockpit, all at the touch of a switch. Performance from the 3.8 Liter engine coupled with the PDK transmission was exhilarating, comfortable, and seamlessly combined in the beautifully designed 911 Targa 4S.

This two-owner, carefully maintained example was delivered new to Porsche of Tysons Corner, Vienna, Virginia. According to the window sticker, the car was delivered with an additional $19,000.00 worth of cost-added options including:

The first owner drove the car approximately 18,000 miles before it became available through a dealer in Portland, Oregon. The current and second owner purchased the car from the dealership in 2019. Both owners have done an exemplary job of maintaining this car to a very high standard with the current owner having performed a Porsche dealership 7 year/70k mile service July 2021.

Today the car presents essentially as new in beautiful Silver Metallic with contrasting Black interior. The paint is excellent throughout with beautiful gloss and deep luster showing very minor evidence of use (some minor rock chips on the front bumper cover), in keeping with the 24,035 miles since delivery. The stunning 20” Porsche crest wheels are in excellent condition with no curb rash, vibrant silver finish, revealing contrasting red calipers poised over the disc brakes. Lighting, glass and lenses are all in near new condition throughout including the clean script lettering and Porsche branded details all of which appear showroom fresh. 

The interior is brilliantly finished with a near new feel to all seating surfaces, showing no marks and virtually no wear to the premium materials used throughout the cockpit. The center console housing the 7-speed PDK gear selection and other precision controls is handsomely arrayed with well laid out controls, offering easy access and ergonomically derived features. The dashboard and assorted instrumentation properly illuminate, displaying key operational features and engine status at the touch of your fingertips. The carpets, door panels, and other interior surfaces are excellent throughout with virtually no wear evident. The Targa roof and expansive rear glass are in excellent condition raising and lowering at the touch of a button without hesitation per factory specifications. When fixed in the closed position, the cabin is quiet and brilliantly engineered, yet easily transformed into an open car within a matter of seconds, through artful engineering.

The engine compartment has been thoughtfully maintained and properly serviced per recommendations. Porsche factory components are all present and in excellent cosmetic condition, though largely concealed from view in this modern design. Inside the front storage area, ample room is available for cargo or small travel bags, again beautifully preserved in factory condition. The underside of the car, suspension and driveline castings are nicely maintained, clean, and free from any significant marks or notable damage, further confirming the low miles, indoor storage, and excellent care this car has seen since new.  

The car is an absolute pleasure to drive. The PDK transmission is everything you would expect from Porsche, offering excellent shifting as a performance car or quietly cruising in daily traffic. Road manners are exceptional to exhilarating, without compromising safety or comfort, delivering a confident ride and excellent feedback at the wheel. Even with the Targa roof open, the ride is quiet and wind noise is at a minimum. This Targa 4S is offered with a copy of the original window sticker, various service paperwork, two keys and owner’s manuals.
