Whether you need to haul heavy, or just haul ass, a big block gets it done the way nothing else does. A Corvette with a big block? With 50 years of racing history? You have our attention.
This 1967 427 Corvette was sold new in Rio Vista, California through Able Chevrolet. By March 1973, the first SCCA racing log book in the file shows the car being raced by a husband and wife out of the Northern California area in “A-Production”. The log book notes a 2nd place finish at Riverside over Memorial Day Weekend in 1974, and the early log books continue actively up through 1978.
The car was then restored to race ready condition, and began a new life of vintage racing in the Pacific Northwest with a series of well known names in the area – Jack Goffette raced the car for a couple of years before the car was sold to Bruce Leven, who embarked on an expensive and thorough build of the car to the generally current configuration (albeit painted Orange at that time) via J&L Fabricating. When Leven passed away, the car was sold again to Jim Gallaugher, and painted silver with the black stripe as seen today. Gallaugher raced the car successfully and further developed the handling and power output to be a consistent front runner, up through 2019 at which time the car was put into race storage at J&L.
