This remarkable 1979 Porsche 930 Turbo is among the most original and well-preserved examples of Porsche’s first supercar. A U.S.-specification car delivered new to its first owners at the Porsche factory in Stuttgart, it was enjoyed immediately on a European tour before being shipped home to the United States. Accompanying the car is a wonderful photo album documenting that original trip, along with comprehensive service and ownership records from new—an unusually complete provenance that speaks to decades of careful stewardship.
The second owner further cherished this car for many years, servicing it with an open checkbook as it resided among a large collection of exceptional cars. The car has only accumulated a handful of miles in the most recent decade. The matching-numbers 3.3-liter turbocharged flat-six was recently serviced and fully resealed, with a new clutch installed for proper drivability. Correct Pirelli P7 tires, as originally fitted when new, were just installed in preparation for sale.
Finished in the elegant and rarely seen color combination of Cashmere Beige over a Cork leather interior, this 930 remains in exceptional original condition throughout.
